These photos were produced in Croatia, on the Adriatic coast and islands. The territory of the ex- Yugoslavia, marked by the War of Independence oscillates between the lightness of life and the weight of a heavy past.
This photographic project show the life of the Croatian villages during the tourist period when children plays meet the gravity. The tumult of the summer, the liveliness tries to erase the wounds of the past.
However, traces of the conflict appear to us here and there, in the corner of a street. Bullet holes, signs communists, former severity score of absence. The stones have kept the footprint of the disappearance.
